Mike - Enemies of Free Speech?
I wanted to follow up and give you a little more information on why I think "de-platforming" and domination of public speech by tech giants is a dangerous path.
I do believe that private companies have the right to monitor the content on their websites based on their own TOS. The issue is when some speech is treated differently than other speech. If it's harmful and against the law, I'm all for censorship. If it's nuanced then it should be open for debate or discourse.

Mike,
The First Amendment is under attack. One does not need to be a supporter of Donald Trump or an alternative social media platform (Parler, Rumble) to see the dangers presented to a handful of big, unaccountable tech companies deciding what we are and not allowed to read online.
When big tech is the judge, jury, and executioner of what can be said online, a dangerous precedent is set. Tech companies need to make a distinction between censoring speech they hate, and speech that is hateful. I'm concerned the traditional public square is actively becoming private corporate property where these giants are the de-facto arbitrators of free speech.
